I want this for my Home Office – The Emperor

Several years ago I came across the coolest office setup on Engadget.com but when I wanted to make a post about it lost year, I couldn;t seem to find it on their site.  Today I found it again on HiConsumption.com.

The Emperor is probably one of the most awesome setups I have seen for a computer desk/chair/build.  It comes in 2 different modles, and get this, its Canadian.  Their head office in Quebec, QC, qhich is about a 2 hour drive from my home in Montreal.  If I ever get a home office again, this would be the rig I would go with, if I could afford it the 200 series model.…

Man Crates, ’nuff said.

main_sprite
I just came across this site today and I have to say, I know what I want for my B-Day next week. I want a Zombie Annihilation Crate from ManCrates.com. Knives, Duct Tape, and Spam, 3 essentials for every Zombie Apocalypses, and it even includes a survival guide.

They also have an assortment of other Man Crates for everyone from Athletes to Carnivores to Beer Lovers (Check out the Personalized Barware crate). And the prices aren’t half bad. My only concern would be trying to shipping the Zombie survival crates across the border (As I am sure it originates in the states).…

Camping Season is upon us

Well, its pretty much summer now, and in less than 20 days it will officially be summer (June 21st, Summer solstice). Now one thing I love about summer, and I miss doing as I have not done it in years, is camping. When I was younger my family and I would travel across Canada camping along the way as we traveled to Edmonton to visit my grandparents and aunts. One time I remember us getting stuck in a windstorm, so strong it almost took our tent, with us in it. Thankfully there was a cement building which housed the washrooms, we ducked in there for a few hours till the storm passed.…

Super Yacht Adastra – Awesomeness!

Well its rare that I make more than one post in a day, but today I just feel like posting my unique finds on the net. While browsing Hi Consumption I came across what I would consider one hell of a dream boat. I have always been fascinated with Super Yachts, I don’t know what it is about them, maybe their huge size, luxurious rooms, amazing design, but what ever it is they have always captivated me, and this one is no different.

The Adastra is the creation John Shuttleworth, a Sussex-based boat designer. Now after looking at his other designs, I have to say he has out done himself this time.…

Well, I have been here almost a year and a half, and its never a dull moment. About half an hour ago this hit the news:

Boil water advisory for Montreal expanded to most of city

MONTREAL – City of Montreal has extended the scope of the precautionary boil notice issued earlier Wednesday morning.

It now includes the entire area south of the Metropolitain Boulevard, from LaSalle to Pointe-aux-Trembles. It also includes the northern district of Anjou and the city of Charlemagne, as well as Mont-Royal, Hampstead, Westmount, Cote St. Luc and Montreal East.

According to the city, the boil water advisory is a preventive measure after a problem at the Atwater filtration plant.

Crazy Sinkhole in Latvia

Matthew 0 Comments

While browsing some of the many sites I like to visit I came a cross an article about a crazy whirlpool/sinkhole that was discovered in Dviete Parish, Latvia.  After watching the video, I was amazed at how much debris the hole took in without stopping.  It looks to be at the bank of a river in the middle of its spring thaw.  The hole seems to suck in everything that goes near it, even large sheets of ice.  Watch the video bellow to see it in action:

From the vast Darkness of Facebook

Matthew 0 Comments

I had to laugh at these, posted on Facebook by my friend Wanda…

Must read…. I borrowed this from a friends post..

Recently, when I went to McDonald’s I saw on the menu that you could have an order of 6, 9 or 12 Chicken Mc…Nuggets.
I asked for a half dozen nuggets.
‘We don’t have half dozen nuggets,’ said the
teenager at the counter.
‘You don’t?’ I replied.
‘We only have six, nine, or twelve,’ was the reply.
‘So I can’t order a half dozen nuggets, but I can order six?’
‘That’s right.’
So I shook my head and ordered six McNuggets
(Unbelievable but sadly true…)
(Must have been the same one I asked for sweetener,
and she said they didn’t have any, only Splenda and sugar.)

Why you need to check your emails carefully! (Part 2)

Earlier today I posted an article entitled Why you need to check your emails carefully!, where I went into detail about a spam email I received which was made to look like it came from Apple. Well no more than 5 minutes after my post, I received another one, this time from Canada Post.

Unlike the one from Apple, the Canada Post email didn’t ask me to verify an account, this one was a Missed Delivery Notice. Again, under un-knowledgeable eyes this looks legit, and almost everyone one in Canada has received a package from Canada Post, which makes it just a bit easier to get scammed than the Apple.com…
