Yes, its time for another rant. But this one comes with a disclaimer:
Now with that being said, the title is the major topic. The internet, although a solid tool for so many things, also brought the world to our fingertips. Go back to the early 90’s, millennials were in their infancy, the only digital way to socialize was via BBSs (Bulletin Board Systems), and we got our world news in the paper and on TV by major reputable broadcasting corporations. The only exposure we had to other cultures was, in a way, sanitized and cleaned of all the horrific things we had no control over because it was not on our soil and not of our laws…
Now fast forward to today, the millennials are full-grown adults, the internet is now our major news source, and rarely ever from a reputable news agency. We communicate through Social Media apps, instead of talking to one another in real life. And we are exposed to all the horrific things in the world, unsanitized.
Now is the age of the Social Justice Warrior (SJW) whose sole ambition in life is to right every wrong in the world based on their beliefs and their rules. Why? because the world is offensive. Do not get me wrong, the content about to be provided is gruesome and upsetting, however we do not need to be protected from it, we do not need to be shielded, and by all means we do not need to force our western ways on the rest of the world solely on the basis that their beliefs and cultures are different from our own. Social media has brought us all together, but it is now a tool used by SJWs to try to sanitize the world in a whole different way.
Take the following article (please note, the picture on the article is sickening… clickers beware!) Change.org: Sign: Justice for Dog with Ears Cut Off for Selfies. Now again do not get me wrong, I find the act sickening to my stomach, however, I have an understanding of other cultures and respect other countries and their laws. The act took place in Turkey where animal cruelty is a misdemeanour and subject to a fine.
TURKEY IS NOT FUCKIN AMERICA OR CANADA FOLKS! IT’S A COUNTRY ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FUCKIN OCEAN! THEY DO NOT ABIDE BY OUR LAWS AND OUR BELIEFS!!! GET OVER YOUR SENSITIVE SNOWFLAKE SELVES AND GET EDUCATED ON WOULD CULTURES!!!!
Ok, sorry, had to get that outburst off my chest. This is not the first time that some SJW has tried to petition for animal rights in a foreign country. Here is an earlier one for animal cruelty in China, again, graphic pictures – Change.org: Make animal cruelty illegal in China. Now do not get me wrong, I love animals of all sorts, and most “Western World” people do. Now by Western World, I mean North America.
I want to take a side step here to explain what I really mean. Canada and the US are young countries, we do not have centuries of development like European, Middle Eastern and Oriental countries. We also cut ourselves off from our ancestors and wanted to rule ourselves. We have some of the best “rights” laws because of our history, but then again we also invented fast food and have the largest obesity per capita levels in the world… So Yay to governing ourselves!. The point is, we are new, we are young, and we are stupid.
Back to the rant. The internet and social media exposed us to every culture and every country around the world. Now because we have such great “rights” laws, every time we see an act that goes against it, be it animal cruelty, Sharia law, or some other cultural difference, because it goes against our laws and beliefs, the SJWs feel a need to try and correct it, so that the offended Snowflakes that cannot handle the culture shock can be shielded away from reality.
Now again, do not get me wrong, if any of those things happened on our soil, where we have the right to protect our laws and beliefs, then all be it, put them in cuffs, send ’em to jail, and throw away the key… However, none of these incidents happened on our soil. They all happen in other respective countries where it has been the way of life for millennia. Yes, in a perfect world everyone would be treated equally, animals would be treated fairly, and the world would be happy. but…
WAKE THE FUCK UP SNOWFLAKE! THE WORLD IS NOT PERFECT! GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF THE SAND AND ACCEPT THAT WE ARE NOWHERE NEAR A PERFECT WORLD!!!!
Sorry, just SJWs and Snowflakes (which, to the majority, are millennials in my opinion) seem to “trigger” me into fits of rage over the stupidity… You see back before the internet, the only time you got exposed to culture shock was when you visited a foreign country…
Now we experience culture shock every day, via posts on the internet and social media… And it’s by the masses… not just those that can afford to travel, but by everyone… It’s such a shock that SJWs feel the need to try and protect the world by creating petitions that will result in nothing.
I want to give you a scenario, that might actually give some insight to my mad logic… Take India, a country rich in culture. The Cow is sacred to their religion. Now, how effective do you think a petition would for us to stop killing cows for food? How far in the process would it get? You could have all 1.339 billion population of India sign the petition and it still would do no good… Why? Because India has no governance over our culture, laws, and beliefs. Just like we have no governance over China’s or Turkey’s… All these petitions do it rile people up over things we do not understand. Instead of educating people on other cultures and laws, we attack them and say they are wrong. This promotes hate and violence. This is one of the reasons I have such a disdain for SJWs, they may have good intentions, but as the old proverb says, “The road to hell is paved with good intentions”.
Instead of petitioning to change the world, SJWs should be educating people on other cultures. Not pushing people to try and change things that we have no authority over. I know it’s a hard concept for many millennials.. but get off your ass and be a productive member of society… stop trying to change the world, and start helping to change your country.
